Favorites from Breck

August has been such a busy monthy! Emily started school, Ryan celebrated his 1st birthday, Brian's mom and dad came to visit, then we went to the DeSutter family reunion in Breckinridge, followed by a visit from the Longs. We had so much fun... I'm sure we'll be very bored real soon! Here are some of my favorite photos from Breck.

We went on a tour of one of the old gold mines.Daddy tried to roll Ryan down the railway over the cliff.... oh daddy.

This might be Emily's favorite part of the whole vacation - the alpine slide!

We celebrated Ryan's birthday at the DeSutter Family Reunion in Breckinridge with a fun cake... sadly, it did not make the trip from the Springs so well... it was a tad bit leaning by the time we got there, but still yummy - just ask Ryan!

He went straight for the #1!

Happy Birthday Ryan!

Happy Birthday to my sweet boy. Mommy loves you and is so happy with the little boy you are becoming. I love to see you smile with your cute dimples and rock you to sleep while you rub your hair. I can't wait for all the fun we have ahead this year. Thank you Lord for such a precious gift and blessing us with such a strong boy.

Nana took Emily on a bike ride.

It didn't end so well.... ouch. She has road rash on her face, elbow, knee, and leg. So nice for the first day of school tomorrow!
I think she is finally feeling better after resting on the couch all morning and getting a special present from Nana....
Other than that, we had a great time with Nana and Paca the last 2 days and were glad they got to see our new house!

My little equestrian

Emily has found a new barn and is up and riding again. Between riding and going on with outings with Rebecca (her AG doll) she has been a very busy and very happy girl!

House Update

Slow and steady .... The house projects are coming along nicely! My favorite addition so far is the laundry room.... we took out a closet and had a mud room put in... it still needs the walls painted, but... we like 95% completion! Plenty of storage for all our backpacks/diaper bags and winter gear :) Maybe I should've posted the before pictures... but they were kinda gross.

Our new family room entertainment cabinet was just delivered tonight! Yay! Ummm hello Mr. Smooth, may I please have a tv now?? :) Seriously though, our cabinet builder is amazing and the nicest guy!

Downstairs, we've been painting... the downstairs bath and 2nd guest room got a nice warm color and the bunk room was repainted a little less mustard ;)

I finally finished the guest room and redid the bedding - it'll be warm and cozy this winter.... you may sign up for a week in the comment section!
