It's a party!... kind of...

Is it okay to invite via a blog? hmm... not sure about that... but hey, if you know where I live, then I guess you're invited! (or, if you're not sure, but you have my phone number, then you can call me and I'll tell ya where I live;) )

We are doing a little birthday lunch for Emily on Sunday after church. Very low key. Hot dogs. Cola... maybe some chips. Noon is the plan. She would love to see your smiling faces :) And me too! It's been a rough 2 weeks and mommy forgot to plan anything but I want it to be special for her... she did so well being such a good big sister last year.

RSVP if ya wanna... or not... either way, there'll be food and drinks at my place on Sunday.

Also, although Emily is turning 7 years old, please do not in way, shape, or fashion refer to me as the mother of a 7 year old... it's kinda depressing.... where did my baby go?!

Going Home

Dear All,

Thank you so much for your prayers for our family over the last several months. Unfortunately, we did not get the miracle we have been so fervantly praying for. The system has awarded Allen full custody and she will be moving there on the 18th. We are very sad and disappointed with the way things have gone. Please keep us in your prayers during this transition period and please keep praying for Elizabeth as her life is about to drastically change and it will be rough on her to lose her family. Love to all and love to our precious little Elizabeth. We will miss you dearly.

Rodeo Cookoff Weekend Ya'll

This weekend we took the girls to the rodeo cookoff in conroe. Fun times! For future reference though, we will be going during the daylight hours before things get a little too PG-13 out there!

This is Emily with her new BFF and foster sister Victoria.

Emily hit up the easter egg hunt at my parent's church on Sunday.

A Quick Update.

Well, I really wanted to blog yesterday because I felt the need to vent, but ehhh...

First of all, please be praying for Lizzy and for us as her case goes to mediation this Wednesday. We have no idea what will happen and we are not allowed to be there. Her birthday is this Sunday and we are planning a small party for next Saturday the 11th... details to follow. We are hoping this will not be a going away party, but planned it for after court so anyone who would like to come and give her kisses before she leaves can if that is the outcome. I'd write more, but I'm already tearing up with just that so.... here's a cute phot from today when she found a pair of Emily's panties... so proud of herself!

Emily is doing great. Loving first grade and talking to my tummy a lot. She is going to be starting drama class next week with Victoria and they are working on High School Musical 3... she has no idea what she is singing and dancing about but that's okay :) I took this picture while she was waiting for the bus last week because I just think she's so beautiful and such a sweet little girl and I love her!

Let's see, that leaves new baby and Victoria. I haven't taken a pic with Victoria yet, but I'll try to get one this weekend if we head out to the Conroe rodeo. She's 7 years old and in 1st grade... Sweet kid. Emily of course wants her to stay FOREVER so she can have a playmate forever, but she'll probably head home this summer. Unfortunately, no one checked her before sending her into my home and she had a massive infestion of lice that we did not discover until Wed. These last 2 days have been a complete nightmare and I'm a now a complete lice-a-phobe. And, yes, she did pass them to Emily and all the dress up clothes and stuffed animals and the custom bedding in her room... yay! Which has prompted a new house rule: no foster children unless they have been inspected for lice.... or cooties, or anything else!

So, now the new baby :) I'm getting a little worried... see below, and please note, photos are explicit in nature, please shield your children! I'm feeling well and started working out with a new trainer yesterday... a little sore today but getting active was good.

(Had to delete photo... sorry)
